Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support and celebrate our son Tucker and all the hard work, energy and time that has gone into learning, supporting, educating and working towards progress after his diagnosis. For the amazing, loving, curious little boy he is even when he didn't have a voice and continues to be and grow into as he finds it!Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. Monday 13th Jul We are incredibly blessed by everyone that has and continues to show interest in joining our team to help show support for Tucker, either by just coming to walk, or just donating,or doing both! We are so excited, as the countdown continues, to get to join and see everyone on Walk day and meet new friends and make connections! This opportunity and event has truly touched our hearts and we are so looking forward to it! Share
Slow progress still has milestones
Tuesday 23rd Jun Tucker is officially out of school for summer! We could not be more grateful and proud of all the hard work he put in to making new friends, learning new things, and progressing in his speech at his new school this year. He will start ESY and outpatient next month for the summer leading up to a new school year of PreK-4! We celebrate every new word approximation with gusto and flare and while we work hard we try to make it as encouraging and fun as possible! We love you little man regardless and will keep fighting to help support you and all that you can do! Share
Creative Minds
Monday 1st Jun We have been hard at work coming up with design ideas for tshirts for our family and friends who are walking with us in September. We want it to be fun but engaging and really touch on Tucker’s imagination. He is so excited to participate and meet new friends just like him, it's hard to explain to him that we have a ways to go before it's the day of the event! We have also been brainstorming some fun new ways to fundraise that keep it exciting and make it an adventure for him! We're patiently counting down! Share

Saturday 23rd May We are so incredibly thankful for the all the support we have received this far and we are proud to keep going! We have generally kept Tucker's diagnosis close to home, not out of embarrassment or shame, but rather because it has been an emotional journey of education and hard work, fighting for understanding of what it entails and how to best support him. Even two years in, this is still new to us and we have only really just started to breach all the different avenues of support that are out there for him and us. We celebrate every day all the progress that Tucker has made and look forward to all the milestones still to come!
