Greater Atlanta Walk for Apraxia

Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!

I walk for AJ!

I walk for all of our Apraxia Stars; children who have so much to say and so much to share with the world, but who have to work incredibly hard to make their voices heard.

AJ has taught us that communication is so much more than simply speaking words. Every sound, every word, every new attempt can take tremendous effort. We have watched him work harder than most people will ever know just to do something that comes so naturally to others.

But we have also watched him grow. We have celebrated the sounds that finally came together, the words that emerged, and every little moment when he found a way to make himself understood. Those moments may seem small to someone else, but to us, they are everything!

I walk so AJ knows he is never alone. I walk for the children who are still searching for their voices, for the families cheering them on every step of the way, and for the professionals working to better understand and support childhood apraxia of speech.

I walk to support the mission of Apraxia Kids, to strengthen the support systems surrounding children with apraxia by educating professionals and families, building community, advocating for these children, and investing in research that can change their futures.

Because every child deserves a voice. And every child deserves to be heard! ❤️

Please consider donating to our team or joining us in the walk. Every contribution helps give children like AJ the support, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

We walk for AJ. We walk for every Apraxia Star. And we walk because every voice matters!

Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team.  You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!

I believe, “Every child deserves a voice”.
