Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

Walking for Every Word Join my Walk for Apraxia 2026
Sunday 8th MarWhen your child struggles to say simple words like I love you, it changes your entire world. My journey with Childhood Apraxia of Speech began as a mother searching for answers. It has been a road full of hurdles and exhaustion, but also incredible little victories.
I am joining Walk for Apraxia 2026 for my daughter - and for every child who has to work ten times harder just to be understood.
This walk is about community. It’s about funding research and therapy resources that families desperately need after a diagnosis. No family should have to face this journey alone.
