Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk for Apraxia Kids because this mission is deeply personal to me.My child has childhood apraxia of speech - a neurological speech disorder that makes speaking extremely difficult. For these children, every word takes effort, practice, and incredible determination.
What many people take for granted - asking a question, sharing a thought, making a friend - can be a daily challenge for children with apraxia.
That is why I walk.
I walk to support research, education, and resources that help families and professionals better understand apraxia and provide the therapy these children need.
Most importantly, I walk so children with apraxia know they are not alone - and that their voices matter.
If you are able, please consider supporting our team or making a donation. Your support helps create more access to diagnosis, therapy, and hope for families around the world.
Because every child deserves a voice.
