Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children and my son diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

Our reason for walking: Bentley.
Saturday 5th SepLast week, we learned that Bentley has Childhood Apraxia of Speech. For the last few months, we’ve watched him work so hard in speech therapy to find a way to make his words come out.
Some days are harder than others. But every new sound, every new word, and every little bit of progress feels like a HUGE victory for our boy. 💙
Bentley has so much to say, and we know his voice is worth fighting for. That’s why we’re walking for him and for every Apraxia Star who is working hard to find their voice. ⭐
