Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!

I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.

I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

One week to walk day!

Hi Team Liam!

THANK YOU for joining us for the Walk for Apraxia next Sunday, September 27. It means so much to us to see Liam's support community gathering behind him to celebrate him and all the Apraxia Stars. Liam is excited about seeing you all, and about getting a medal and certificate :) Thank you to everyone who donated as well. Our team has raised over $1,000! That is amazing! xoxo

The walk takes place at Parmalee Farm, 465 CT-81Killingworth. Check in begins at 10:00 and the awards ceremony is at 11:00 (so I assume the walk is in between.) I am told everyone on our team who was registered by September 10 will receive a T-shirt (regardless of how much they fundraised). I pick up all t-shirts as our team captain. We are going to have some Team Liam swag as well (blue star sunglasses and some temporary tattoos!)

If you want to make a TEAM LIAM SIGN to walk with, he would love to see his name on a cheer sign. He loves races and cheering others on - this one will be to celebrate him!
