Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk for Apraxia Kids because my son, Finn, is 7 years old and has been living with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) since he was 4. He has struggled with his speech since birth, but his speech challenges have never defined who he is.
Finn’s speech doesn’t hold him back from being social, making friends, sharing his personality, or bringing his incredible spirit into every room. In fact, the journey he has faced has helped shape the amazing kid he is today.
I walk to help raise awareness and funds for children like Finn. The more we raise for Apraxia Kids, the more opportunities there are to support families, provide resources, and fund research that can help children with CAS find their voice.
