Greater Sacramento Walk for Apraxia

Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!

My beautiful daughter Aurora has been diagnosed with apraxia of speech for the past three years. Watching her navigate the world and work so hard every single day to communicate has been both inspiring and, at times, incredibly challenging.

I walk for Aurora — and for all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech, our Apraxia Stars. I walk to show them they are not alone, and to recognize the immense effort they put in every day to overcome communication challenges that impact their lives.

I also walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids — to strengthen support systems for children with apraxia by educating professionals and families, building community, and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation or joining our team. You, too, can make a meaningful impact for children and families affected by apraxia.

I truly believe: Every child deserves a voice. 💙
