Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!
I believe, “Every child deserves a voice”.

I Walk For Mia
Tuesday 28th AprAS MIA’S MOM, I GET A FRONT-ROW SEAT TO HOW HARD SHE WORKS EVERY SINGLE DAY TO COMMUNICATE – THROUGH SOUNDS, GESTURES, EXPRESSIONS, AND THE LITTLE WORDS AND PHRASES SHE’S FOUGHT SO HARD TO LEARN.
THIS WALK IS MORE THAN JUST AN EVENT FOR OUR FAMILY. IT’S A WAY TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR A DIAGNOSIS THAT IS OFTEN MISUNDERSTOOD, AND TO SUPPORT THE THERAPISTS, RESOURCES, AND RESEARCH THAT HELP CHILDREN LIKE MIA FIND THEIR VOICES. IT’S ALSO A WAY TO CELEBRATE EVERY BIT OF PROGRESS – BECAUSE WITH APRAXIA, EVERY WORD AND EVERY BREAKTHROUGH IS SOMETHING WORTH CELEBRATING.
WE WALK FOR MIA, FOR HER VOICE, AND FOR EVERY CHILD WHO IS STILL WORKING TO BE HEARD.
