Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support my sweet 6-year-old nephew, James, who is living with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS)—a neurological speech disorder that makes it difficult for his brain to plan and coordinate the movements needed to speak. He knows what he wants to say, but getting those words out can take tremendous effort, practice, and perseverance.
Despite the challenges, James continues to amaze us with his determination, joy, and resilience. Every new word, every clearer sound, and every step forward is something worth celebrating. 💙
I am joining family to walk in his honor and raise funds to support children with apraxia and the therapies and resources that help give them a voice.
If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support—whether that’s making a donation, sharing our fundraiser, or simply cheering James on. Every step we take is a step toward helping him and other children with apraxia be heard.
We’ll walk for the words that are hard to say, the victories that deserve to be celebrated, and the voices that deserve to be heard. 💙
