Why do we walk? We walk in honor of our Apraxia Star, Frankie. This event is a great day to celebrate all the progress he has made to overcome challenges due to childhood apraxia of speech.
He has worked HARD over the years, so we get to honor his personal successes and reflect on how far he has come since diagnosis. We don't need a special day to do that, but being among other individuals like him is really special!
The funds we raise help Apraxia Kids - the non-profit we have personally leaned on many times for education, evidence based research, resources, and making connections. We are so happy to give back now and a be a part of the future for those yet to be on this same journey.

I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
