We have Miles of Smiles!
Our team walks to support all children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), including Miles for whom this team is named and his little brother Benny. Both have worked so hard at speech and occupational therapy to find their voices and learn how to speak. We want to celebrate their hard work and help them meet others so they know they are not alone.We also walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids: to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research. Without Apraxia Kids, Miles and Benny would likely not be speaking as well as they do. The right therapist makes all the difference!
