THANK YOU to everyone who helped us raise over $1000 and become champions club members in 2026! 10 years of walking and 10 years of meeting this goal. You are awesome. But mostly, thank you for supporting the mission of Apraxia Kids so all individuals with CAS has resources available!

Ready to String!

Frankie get's to silly string Kalynn from Kalynn's Krew during the Walk for Apraxia on 10/03 for winning the Silly String Challenge!! The teams challenged each other to see who could raise $250 first during certain dates. Way to go team Frankie's Force!!

Silly String Challenge - WINNERS!

Yay!  Team Frankie's Force pulled ahead and beat Kalynn's Krew in the Silly String Challenge.  Thank you to all those who donated to both teams before and during the challenge.  Both teams will be at the Pittsburgh Walk for Apraxia and Frankie will be ready to spray Kalynn with silly string!  

However - we are prepared to take it a step further.  Help our team get to $2,000 in donations and the team captain of Kalyinn's Crew will also get silly stringed!!

What!!!  Crazyiness, but fun!

Why WE walk for Apraxia Kids!

Why do we walk?  We walk in honor of our Apraxia Star, Frankie.  This event is a great day to celebrate all the progress he has made to overcome challenges due to childhood apraxia of speech. 

He has worked HARD over the years, so we get to honor his personal successes and reflect on how far he has come since diagnosis.  We don't need a special day to do that, but being among other individuals like him is really special!  

The funds we raise help Apraxia Kids - the non-profit we have personally leaned on many times for education, evidence based research, resources, and making connections.  We are so happy to give back now and a be a part of the future for those yet to be on this same journey.

Can't walk?  That's Ok!  You can support us with good vibes, kind words, prayers, and/or a donation towards our team effort!

I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.

I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
