Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!
I believe, “Every child deserves a voice”.

Welcome to Stride for Alexander
Tuesday 25th Aug We are walking to support our amazing 4-year-old son, Alexander, in the walk for Apraxia.Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a challenging motor speech disorder. Alexander knows exactly what he wants to say, but his brain struggles to plan the precise movements his tongue, lips, and jaw need to form words.
Every single day, Alexander works incredibly hard in speech therapy to find his voice. At just 4 years old, his resilience, determination, and bright spirit inspire everyone around him. He is our little superhero, fighting hard to overcome every communication barrier.
We are walking to raise vital awareness, fund crucial research, and ensure children like Alexander get the support they need.
Please consider joining our team, walking with us, or making a donation. Every dollar brings Alexander - and so many other brave children - one step closer to being heard.
Thank you for standing with Alexander!
