Tampa Walk for Apraxia

Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!

As an occupational therapist and co-coordinator of the Tampa Walk for Apraxia, I’m passionate about raising awareness of how childhood apraxia of speech can impact more than communication. Because apraxia involves difficulty planning and coordinating purposeful movements, some children may also experience challenges with motor skills that affect everyday activities, including dressing, feeding, handwriting, and play. Occupational therapy can help address these functional challenges by supporting motor coordination, independence, and participation in daily routines. I’m excited to bring our community together to celebrate our Apraxia Stars, support their families, and raise awareness of the many ways apraxia can impact a child’s life!

Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team.  You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!
I believe, “Every child deserves a voice”.
