Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
As Lenox’s parents, we have the privilege of watching him work harder than most people will ever realize just to say the words many of us take for granted. Every new sound, every new word, and every conversation is the result of incredible determination, courage, and countless hours of practice. To us, he is our Apraxia Star.
We walk to celebrate Lenox, to honor his hard work, and to support every child and family navigating the journey of childhood apraxia of speech. We want every child to know they are seen, supported, and never alone.
We’re also walking to raise funds for Apraxia Kids, whose mission is to strengthen the support systems surrounding children with apraxia through education, family resources, community outreach, advocacy, and research. Their work helps give families hope and children the opportunity to find their voices.
