Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech. Ada's experience with apraxia has shown me how many of us take the ability to communicate for granted. Those with apraxia work incredibly hard to express themselves and that impacts all aspects of their life. Support is critical to improve their ability to communicate.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
