Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk for my son, Luca, and for all children diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech, because they’re all our Apraxia Stars.
Every day for the past four years, Luca has worked incredibly hard to find his voice and communicate with the world around him. Children with apraxia face challenges most people never see, yet they continue to show determination, courage, and resilience in every small victory.
I walk to remind Luca, and every child with apraxia, that they are never alone. I walk to honor the hard work they put in each and every day and to help create a world where they are understood, supported, and empowered to thrive.
I am also raising funds for Apraxia Kids and their mission to strengthen support systems for children with apraxia of speech through education, community outreach, advocacy, and research. Their work gives families like ours hope, resources, and connection.
