Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
As a speech-language pathologist, I walk in the Walk For Apraxia to support the amazing children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) that I work with every day. This event helps raise funds for Apraxia Kids, whose mission is to increase awareness and provide education for both SLPs and parents so that apraxia can be recognized, accurately diagnosed, and effectively treated. Walking is one small way I can advocate for my CAS kiddos and help ensure more children receive the support and therapy they need to find their voices.
