Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
This year, I am proud to be participating in the Walk for Apraxia to support children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) - a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
At UpWord Speech Therapy, we have the privilege of working with several amazing children with apraxia. Every day we get to witness their determination, resilience, and the tremendous effort they put into communicating. For children with CAS, every word can require intentional planning and practice, making even simple conversations a challenge. Their hard work inspires us every single day!
I am walking to remind these children and their families that they are not alone and to help raise funds for Apraxia Kids, whose mission is to educate families and professionals, provide support, advocate for children with CAS, and advance research that will improve their futures.
If you would like to support this incredible community, I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation or joining our team. Every contribution, big or small, helps make a meaningful difference for children finding their voices.
At UpWord Speech Therapy, we believe every child deserves a voice. Thank you for helping us support these incredible children and their families. ❤️
