To our friends and family,

When we learned of Brigham’s rare genetic disorder this summer, it hit us hard. The reality of having a child with special needs is not an easy thing to process. But through the grace of God, we have found a new determination to continue advocating for Brigham and helping him reach his full potential. 

(Brigham’s diagnosis of childhood apraxia of speech is a clinical symptom associated with his underlying genetic disorder.)

So now, 

I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.
