My son, Philip Riz, was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech one year ago this June. Before his diagnosis, I had never even heard of apraxia, and I quickly realized how many others are unfamiliar with it as well.

We are walking to help spread awareness, understanding, and support for children like Philip who work so hard every day to find their voices. Apraxia affects a child’s ability to plan and coordinate the movements needed for speech, making communication incredibly challenging.

Every donation helps support Apraxia Kids and the resources, education, and advocacy they provide to families navigating this journey.
