Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
I walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!
I believe, “Every child deserves a voice”.

Friday 2nd OctI’m walking to support all of the kids diagnosed with apraxia of speech, but this one is especially close to our family.
My middle son, Tate, was diagnosed with apraxia just over a year ago. He just turned 4, and in that year I have watched this little guy work so hard every single day to improve his speech.
Things that come easy to most kids can take a lot of work for Tate. Speech therapy, practicing words, trying to put sentences together and just trying to be understood. But he never gives up. He has come such a long way already, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.
I’m walking to help raise money for Apraxia Kids and to support other kids and families going through the same thing we are.
If you’re able to donate, we would really appreciate it. Even a small donation helps. And if you want to join our team and walk with us, we’d love to have you!
Thank you for supporting Tate and all of the other Apraxia Stars out there. ❤️
Every child deserves a voice.
