Why I walk for Apraxia Kids!
We walk for Ames - and all of the Apraxia Stars. Many of them, like Ames, live with an invisible disability. It silently (no pun intended) makes everyday life more difficult for them. But in our house, and in Ames's life, we bring light to this struggle. We show him how proud we are of him every day. We accept that there may be accommodations needed. We accept that sometimes talking is just too hard or exhausting. But we don't accept limitations - we know that he will come out stronger from this struggle. We know that whatever he wants to do with his life, likely with animals, he will be that much more prepared. Because he has been fighting and persevering since day one. And he deserves this - as all children do - to find his voice.Thank you to our Donors
